How we avoid copying another site

This is not legal advice. Product rules to lower the risk of claims from the game owner and other guide authors.

1. Brand and search

The site is called Tarkov Guide because that is how people search for maps and ammo. The public domain is eftguide.app — Tarkov is not in the URL. Every page says we are not affiliated with Battlestate Games and do not copy other fan sites.

2. Our copy, our UI

Do not reuse another site’s layout, icons, wording, comments or interactive maps.

3. Data source

Items, prices, quests and hideout come from the public tarkov.dev API. We do not scrape other sites. Official promo art and game logos are not used.

4. Fan projects and trademarks

Battlestate has already asked a fan project to drop Tarkov from its domain. Rule: keep Tarkov out of the URL, do not look official, do not distribute the game client.

5. Progress

Quest and hideout marks stay in the browser and sync to your account when you sign in. An account stores email, a password hash, and that progress JSON. The map editor is limited to admins.

6. Our copyright

Original texts, interface, layout, logo, illustrations, email templates and code made for Tarkov Guide / eftguide.app are protected by copyright from the moment they are created. Copying, republishing, scraping for a clone, or using our design and wording without written permission is forbidden.

7. What we do not claim

We do not claim Escape from Tarkov, Battlestate Games marks, or community data from tarkov.dev. Item names, prices and quest facts from that API stay with their owners. This page protects only our original work.

8. Licence to visitors

You may open the site for personal play. You may not copy the site, clone the UI, reuse our logo or original images, or build a competing product from our materials. Automated harvesting of our original pages for republication is not allowed.

9. If someone copies us

Copyright exists automatically. We keep dated originals (this site, git history, and the notice at /copyright.txt). A lawyer can send a takedown and, where the law allows, file a claim. This is not legal advice. Contact: the domain holder of eftguide.app.
